A Stellenbosch University team placed first at the Standard Bank IT Challenge heats this weekend, being the only team to solve all 5 of the problems. Only one other team (from UCT) was able to solve 4 problems. The successful team was Dirk-B Coetzee, Ralf Kistner, Herman Schaaf, and Melissa Munnik.
Stellenbosch University’s aggregate score of 13 solutions for the 4 teams participating was also the highest total among the eight participating universities, edging out UCT with 12 solutions.
